Monitoring, done RIGHT!

When it comes to uptime, do you rely on what your provider says, or what an outside company says? At LTN Monitor, the emphasis is not on internal network monitoring (which is flawed) but on redundant monitoring from multiple locations.

Why is this important?
Let's say, for example, that your datacenter had fiber cut that caused issues to one (or two) of the routes on the internet. Wouldn't you rather know that BEFORE your customers?
Let's say, for example, that your datacenter was experiencing an outage (not unheard of). Wouldn't you rather know that BEFORE your customers?
Wouldn't you like to see how long it takes to get individual pages from various locations across the globe?
At LTN Monitor, we believe, emphatically that the answer to the above is, and should be yes.

So, what is LTN-Monitor?
LTN-Monitor is a custom project, designed by Linux Tech Networks. Originally, this was setup as an in house monitoring setup for management clients.
LTN-Monitor runs from multiple locations, and runs a number of (redundant) checks every 60 seconds. We don't check every 5 minutes, every 10 minutes, we check every 60 seconds.
LTN-Monitor comes with a custom plugin that can reside on your server and talk to our server, providing information such as
-- Process Utilization
-- Mysql Utilization
-- Network Utilization
-- Hard Drive utilization (IO/etc)
-- Memory Utilization
All of these can be set to a custom alert level for you, the client, so that you will know what's going on at all times with your server.

LTN-Monitor is much more than a remote monitor application. It's a full scale monitoring system, built using php and mysql, run from multiple servers so YOU can rest assured that your server is responding properly.

Have you ever wondered what your actual uptime is from month to month? Have you wondered whether or not you can cover your SLA? Never fear, with LTN-Monitor, you can view your web page status, and display it for your customers to see, with a very simple form, like this. We even tell you how to set it up here, and it's just incredibly simple to do.

Have you ever wanted to take TOTAL control over your alerting system, or monitoring system, but just didn't know how? LTN-Monitor allows you to do that with just a few link clicks. It's INCREDIBLY easy to do!
Have you ever wanted to see a CSV of your system data (mysql, load, memory, iostats) on a daily, monthly basis? With LTN-Monitor, you CAN do just that!

LTN-Monitor is currently run from multiple datacenters:

Washington,DC:
This server is provided by Linux Tech Networks and currently serves as the home for our master server and checks.

Dallas,TX:
This server is provided by Softlayer.

Currently, we are looking for one or two more servers. If you are affiliated with a datacenter, or have a server or two you might consider throwing our way (full root access needed with APC), please, feel free to Contact Us with your offering and what you would need in return (we will happily provide a trade of services (management or monitoring) for server space :)).

Please, check back often, the news page is growing constantly, as LTN-Monitor continues to expand and be added to.
